about

We launched at the beginning of 2017. We did not have confidence in the quality of products, so the first year we worked in test mode.

The very first point of sale was Duty Free in Almaty. The management liked the presentation and packaging of the products so much that they immediately bought out half of the stock at that time. I did not think that things would go so well, so I did not invest a lot of money in the project. The initial investment was $10,000.

Now we have more than 30 points throughout Kazakhstan. We work with top retailers in the country, such as Meloman, Duty Free, Shymbulak, FashionPark, Gazpromneft. During this time, stocks increased almost 20 times.

Some people think that we only sell t-shirts, but in fact we already have 40 items. We are developing several directions: not only a clothing line, but also Drinkware. For example, we have recently introduced a series of thermal bottles “Bótelke”, which have become a bestseller. In the autumn we launched a line of bags “Sómke” and they also entered the market well. In general, all our products sell well, which cannot but motivate.

By the way, many people think that the word Qazaq is about a nation, but in fact, as Yerlan Karin noted, the word Qazaq means “free” in ancient Turkic, so our prints have a double meaning. This is a play on words: Born to be Qazaq / Born to be Free. Many foreigners order this particular print, send their photos with our sweatshirts or t-shirts. Therefore, I think that through our prints we also promote the brand of the country.

The plans are to further develop the brand and introduce more assortment. Next year, it is planned to attract a potential investor to expand points of sale, in particular, the opening of new mono-brand boutiques under the Qazaq Republic brand.
